PTA

 

In the past, did your child go on a field trip? Did you attend Donuts with Darlings? Did your child check out books from the library? Did your family attend Family Movie Night? Did you know that all these and more are put on and paid for by PTA? That is why you are welcomed to join PTA! We need your help and imput!

 

    We would like to invite you to become part of the 2021-2022 Virginia Peterson PTA. Joining the PTA does not mean you will sit on the board, or be in charge of an event. Only if you want to! PTA isn't just for parents. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, and anyone who cares about the well-being of our children are welcome to join. We need YOU to make this an awesome school year for the kids.

 

    We would like to invite you to attend the PTA meetings. At this time, they are held on the 1st Monday of each month, at 6:00 PM in the school library. Child care is always available. Coming to the meetings DOES NOT mean you will be in charge of something. (Unless you want to be!) But, what does that mean?

 

    Students: PTA focuses on what students need to be successful in learning. PTA's role in fundraising provides curriculum-based field trips, technology in the classroom, library books, visual and performing arts support, and family and social events which are all vital to the school, and ultimately, the success of our students.

    Knowledge: Come to the meetings and find out what is happening in your school!

 

    Network: PTA's function provides opportunities to meet other parents and teachers, and to discuss issues that are on your mind. YOU can make a difference.

 

In addition to the benefits listed above, you're once-a-year registration fee of $10.00 per person, enrolls you as a PTA member, and provides you access to special offers and discounts through www.capta.org at businesses like STAPLES and more!
