The newest issue of Paso Proud is here!

Issue 7 celebrates the people, programs and moments helping make Paso Schools such a special place to learn and grow. Inside this issue, you’ll meet this year’s Key to the District honoree, Vickie Werling, and watch The Pool — an excellent student-produced documentary by PRHS filmmaker Keely Smith chronicling the decades-long journey to bring an aquatics center to Paso Robles High School.

You’ll also read about Bearcats earning state honors through SkillsUSA competitions, college-bound student-athletes signing to continue their academic and athletic careers, and the PRHS Leadership students helping recognize younger Bearcats for kindness, leadership and character across our elementary schools.

This issue also highlights the many ways schools across the district celebrated Autism Awareness and Acceptance Month, honoring the importance of inclusion, empathy and belonging for every student.

As we head toward summer, you’ll also find information about summer childcare and secondary summer school opportunities available for Paso Schools families.

Thank you for taking a few minutes to celebrate the stories, accomplishments and people that continue to make Paso Schools #PasoProud.

Student Perspective

If you enjoy Paso Proud, you may also enjoy reading Crimson Newsmagazine, Paso Robles High School’s student-run publication. Produced by a staff of 29 PRHS journalism students, Crimson covers campus life, school events, and issues affecting the broader Paso Robles community. In addition to written reporting, students produce podcasts, videos, photo galleries, and other multimedia projects, giving readers a student perspective on the stories shaping life at Paso High. Journalism 3 advanced students manage the publication’s operations and editorial direction, while Journalism 2 students contribute reporting and learn the foundations of student journalism.
